A major Aga breakthrough! This was the week where Food at the Farm became a definite Feature. The timely gift of a great Aga Tips book revealed that you can fry eggs in the Aga!! What?!! Well, we had to try that… and it is BRILLIANT. Fried breakfasts for 12 people became a doddle, and we’ve scarcely seen a frying pan since.
The weekend also saw the invention of Chocolate Rum Banana sauce, ideal for dunking marshmallows toasted on the log fire… that was a particularly fun pudding! Plus the cooking style emerged – hearty, tasty home cooking, local produce, sociable and easy preparation. Hmm…. someone mentioned a cookbook ….
