Hello and welcome! Thank you for visiting.
There’s more to life than increasing its speed…. but we sure live in times where it’s easy to get faster and faster!
If you want to be able to slow down and recharge your batteries sometimes, you’ll find ideas to help you find the breaks at weekends, take a breather and build new habits in here.
If you spend a lot of your life looking after others, there’s music, walks, talks and pampering to give you a chance to relax and get looked after yourself.
If you’re at a point where you’re wondering whether there’s more to work than a daily grimace, there’s options, ideas and support from like-minded people in here.
Simple fact is, however things are for you at the moment, there’s always more to life … More to your job, more to your weekends, more to the relationships that matter to you, more to meals, more to you.
If that’s something that’s relevant for you at the moment, create some space to focus on what you want. Whether you’ve got a few minutes a week or longer, my wish for you is that find more of what you want.
Let’s start with cake, as that is an important part of life. On the right hand bar you’ll find the More to… Cookbook with a growing range of simple recipes for gorgeous food.
You’ll find details of free walks in the Surrey Hills, where you can give yourself some space to enjoy a relaxing walk in friendly company, no need to navigate.
If you appreciate the outdoors and like a bit of pampering too, you can enjoy both in a unique coaching, walking, cake-eating, lazing about Mountain Retreat in the Welsh Mountains. You can take a quick look for yourself – here’s a little video introduction that will give you a feel for the mountain retreats:
There’s loads more photos of our peaceful mountain retreat recharge holidays and beautiful Black Mountains in the Brecon Beacons National Park; and you’ll find photos from our most recent week right here.
And if you’ve come across places in the mountains that have knocked your socks off, please contact me and let me know where they are, I’m an avid collector!
Everybody needs beauty as well as bread, places to play in and pray in, where nature may heal and give strength to body and soul. – John Muir

Ah… I see you share my approach to cake. One of the things I miss about being in London is the sense of space and ‘nothing’ – love your mountain photos.
